Dr. Patrick Nelson joins LTU MCS

LTU MCS welcomes Dr. Patrick Nelson, who joins as full time faculty. Since 2000 he served as a faculty in the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with the department of Mathematics until 2009 and then with the Center for Computational Medicine and Biology (CCMB), where he served as a research professor. Dr. Nelson received his Bachelors degree in Applied Mathematics from Arizona State University, and his M.S and Ph.D in Applied Mathematics from University of Washington. His research interests include the application of mathematical concepts to problems within the biological and medical domains.
